Mark Forrest,
D.M.D.
Dr. Mark Forrest, a native of Queens, New York, attended Hofstra University on Long Island, New York, and received his Dental Degree from New York University, College of Dentistry. He took a general practice residency at Jewish Memorial Hospital in New York City and received his Specialty training in Periodontics from New York University, College of Dentistry. Dr. Forrest is a trained Specialist in Periodontics and Implant Surgery. He is an active member of the following organizations:
He is a Past President of the Florida
Association of Periodontists and served for six years on its executive board.
Dr. Forrest is
proud to be appointed to the teaching staff of Mt. Sinai Medical
Center, and the University of Miami School of Medicine/ Jackson
Memorial Hospital. Dr. Forrest has been a member of the Board of
Directors of the American Heart Association of Broward County
and was an active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) instructor
for 25 years.
He has attained
Fellowship in the prestigious International and American
College of Dentists,
two world wide organizations which honor those dentists who have
made a significant contribution to the Dental Profession. In
2001 he became a Fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the
International Honor Dental Organization.
For more than 10
years, he served as an examiner for the Board of Dentistry, for
the State of Florida, and an Expert Witness/Consultant for the
Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Dr. Forrest
served as a delegate to the Florida Dental Association for many
years.
Presently, he is
a Clinical Associate Professor at Nova
Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine
in the Department of Periodontology. He also has an appointment
as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of
Periodontics at the University of Florida College of
Dentistry.
Dr. Forrest’s excellent work and dedication were acknowledged by his pears and he was fortunate to be chosen to be listed in The
Best Dentists In America in both 2004 and 2008.
Additionally
in April 2004, he was honored and selected by Florida Monthly
Magazine as one of "Florida's Top Dentists".
Andrew Forrest, D.M.D., M.S.
Dr. Andrew
Forrest attended Florida State University where he studied
Biochemistry. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University,
College of Dental Medicine, in 2002. His research on the
interdisciplinary management of Irradiation Treatment,
Osteoradionecrosis, and Implantology was completed at the
University of Miami. This research awarded him the Straumann ITI
Implant Dentistry Scholarship Award. While attending Dental
School, Dr. Forrest completed two Periodontics externships, the
first at New York University and the later at Harvard
University. In June of 2003, he completed his rotation in
Anesthesiology at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.
Dr. Forrest completed his specialty training in Periodontics and
Implant Surgery at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital.
During that time, he also completed his Master Degree with a
focus on Oral Immunology.
He is currently a
member of the:
Presently, Dr.
Forrest has a teaching appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of
Periodontics at the
University of Florida. The focus of his private practice centers
upon the surgical reconstruction of supporting tissues for the
preservation of teeth and dental implant site development.
